Celebrating The Success of My Students

November 30, 2021 Estelle Morali-Silver
Celebrating success of La Classe students - confetti

As I prepare to wrap up 2021, I wanted to celebrate with you the success of my students. This year, I have taught online to a wide variety of students aged from 6 years old to 81 years young. They all have made wonderful progress thanks to their dedication and commitment, taking individual or group lessons (from 1 hour to 4 hours/week), studying at home everyday , completing their assignments thoroughly and listening carefully to the feedback I gave them in order to improve their skills. Each of my students has different objectives. Some want to learn for pleasure, some need to communicate more easily as they live in France, some want to apply for universities or for a job.

A diploma is not an end in itself. However, it can definitely be a means to an end helping you achieve specific personal, academic or professional projects. Therefore, this year, 11 of my students sat the DELF & DALF exams or the Advanced Higher, Higher & National 5 school exams. All of them succeeded with great results with an average of 82% in DELF and DALF and an A grade in the school exams. Needless to say that when they shared their results with me, I felt delighted and proud. It gives me joy and motivates me to go above and beyond.

My students, who passed the DELF B1, will now apply for citizenship, as it was one of the requirements for their application, a couple of my B2 students have applied to university courses - most public universities in France require a DELF B2 and some of them require a DALF C1 - and my C1 student wanted to have a recognised diploma to add to their CVs as they were looking for a job in France.

I am very grateful to have had the opportunity to accompany them and facilitate their learning journey and I congratulate all of them dearly for the strong commitment they showed to their French learning.
